Poll Observer Training (Inside)

Thank you for signing up to be a Poll Observer for the upcoming election. Your time and patriotism are very much appreciated.

Please review the following:

1. Video Training

Inside observers must be nominated by the Yuma County GOP Chair, trained, and credentialed.

As an indoor poll observer, you will need to have your credentials letter. We will give the envelope with all of that location’s credentials letters to the person taking the first shift. From there, when the first shift person is done, they will hand the envelope over to the next shift and lastly onto the third shift.

-> If there is an emergency and you need to leave, DO NOT leave with the envelope! Leave the envelope with the Inspector and alert the Yuma GOP chairman and his assistant as soon as possible.

If you have a backup poll observer outside, then the chairman or the assistant will let them know to go in to take over your shift.

2. Save these important numbers

Here are the names and numbers of your Yuma GOP contacts for anything relating to your Poll Observer duties.

Prior to 15 September:

After 15 September: Please save these numbers in your phone contacts for easy access on Election Day.

3. Poll observer handbook & SoS Documentation

You do not have to read through the entire file, but please familiarize yourself with the content.

Click on the image below or HERE to access the handbook. Do not share this file with anyone. This is for Poll Observers only.

The Secretary of State also shares information regarding the law and what is and isn’t legal in Arizona.
