About the Lincoln Day Dinner
The Lincoln Day Dinner is the Yuma County Republican Committee’s premier annual fundraising event, dedicated to advancing conservative values and strengthening Republican leadership at every level.
Each year, this event serves as a unifying gathering for:
- Elected officials and Republican candidates
- Precinct committeemen and party leadership
- Community supporters and grassroots activists
- The next generation of Republicans, including Teen Republicans
Funds raised through the Lincoln Day Dinner directly support:
- Local Republican Party operations
- Voter outreach, education, and registration efforts
- Support for Republican candidates and ballot initiatives
- Youth engagement and leadership development programs

Meet our Keynote Speaker!
The Honorable John Shadegg served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona from 1995 to 2011, earning a reputation as a principled conservative and a leading voice for limited government.
First elected during the Republican wave of 1994, Congressman Shadegg represented Arizona’s 4th and later 3rd Congressional Districts for eight terms. During his tenure, he held key leadership roles, including Chairman of the Republican Study Committee and Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, where he helped shape conservative policy priorities in Congress.
Before serving in Congress, Shadegg practiced law in Arizona, served as Special Assistant Attorney General, and advised both the Arizona Legislature and the U.S. Sentencing Commission. He is also a veteran of the Arizona Air National Guard.
Throughout his career, Congressman Shadegg was a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility, constitutional limits on federal power, market-based solutions, and policies addressing health care, energy, interstate commerce, and border security.
With decades of experience in public service and conservative leadership, Congressman Shadegg brings thoughtful perspective and historical insight to the 2026 Lincoln Day Dinner as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
